Mina Stareva is the Head of the Sector for Gender Equality in DG Research and Innovation, the European Commission. Prior to that she has been working on developing the European Research Area policy and international cooperation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from Robert Schuman – Strasbourg University and a Master of Arts degree in Political Sciences from the College of Europe.
In Mina Stareva’s view, gender equality is a high priority for the new leadership of the European Commission and within Horizon Europe, the incoming framework programme for research and innovation. She strongly encourages more women to apply for EU prizes, for instance for the EU prize for Woman Innovators.
